MOVIDA LORNE

MoVida Lorne is situated on the ground floor of the Lorne Hotel - the building is part of the beautiful Lorne streetscape with a filtered view through the gumtrees to the captivating surf. The project’s main challenge was to integrate the iconic Melbourne brand into a long-established, well-loved coastal venue.

The interior design references its coastal landscape with the use of raw materials and a natural palette.

“The intent is to create a warm, relaxed and fun environment while seamlessly accompanying the beautiful cuisine that Frank Camorra is renowned for.”

A palette of rich timbers, dark terrazzo floors, fluted glass, milky greens with terracotta accents were selected to create a warm and textural interior which reflects the beautiful natural hues of Lorne’s incredible setting, ‘where the coast meets the rainforest’.

Upon entry to the space, sits a large wine bottle display come waiters station / greet point. This bespoke joinery piece was designed to both provide a division between the venues other offering, the wine/gin bar and also provide ample practical storage for staff during operation.
