FRONT BAR, TORQUAY HOTEL

The bold palette to the Front Bar is an embellished variation of the tones featured throughout the interior, we wanted to create a sense of fun and give this space its own identity. Drawing inspiration from the venue’s surroundings, the dramatic hues of Torquay’s coastal cliffs and surf, this playful and textural palette was created to provide a special destination within the venue’s offerings.

The new identity and branding also draws inspiration from the Front Bar palette, creating a bold identity to the reinvented iconic venue. The façade of openable windows and use of planting throughout creates a strong connection to the environment and really heightens the street presence.

Custom designed cubic joinery pieces with hanging plants and lighting are suspended within the pitched ceilings which both define the spaces, and draw a direct connection to the outdoors.
